MY MUSIC - MARIAH ROCKS ;-)

As I have already mentioned, my favourite singer is Mariah Carey. I started to be interested in her career in 1993 when she released her third studio album MUSIC BOX, which is by the way my favourite album of all.

Probably you all know her biggest hit "Without you" ( which was a cover of a song originally recorded by Badfinger ). This song comes from the Music Box. However, this one is not my favourite on the album. The song I like most is "Anyone you need a friend" :

The next album she recorded was called "Daydream". My favourite song from this one is "Looking in". If you're not Mariah's fan, you probably don't know it. I do like the lyrics of this song!

The best thing for me (as Mariah's fan) happened two years ago :) Some of you know that my sister lives in Chicago. I try to visit her at least once a year. That year I planned my my trip to the USA exactly in Septemper when Mariah gave a concert in Chi Town. I was there and my dream which I had been dreaming since being a 12year old girl came true. The concert looked like that:

MALTA - HEART OF THE MEDITERRANEAN

Do you believe in love at first sight? I do. I fell in love with Malta from the very first time I came there. It was almost six years ago! Time flies so fast..
My first holiday there lasted three weeks and the time I spent was so great that I was crying on the plane back home. I didn't want to go back to Poland, I wanted to stay on the island as long as possible. I promised myself to return to that wonderful place soon. And it was one year later that I went there again :) And again it was the greatest time ever! Despite the fact that I got ill and after coming back home I spent the next two weeks in bed :P

One year later.. In March I already stared to think "what to do to go to Malta this year as well?". And I decided to look for a summer job there. First I surfed the Internet and looked for
e-mail addressess of many Maltese hotels. Then I sent my CV to most of them :) I was looking for a job as a waitress although I had never done such a job before :D Well, sometimes you have to lie in your CV :P It was surprising that I got the reply after just 10minutes. I was offered a job in that hotel:

and of course I accepted it :)

This job gave me an opportunity to be in Malta for over two months, two great months when I explored the island completely :) I visited probably every corner, saw every rock and again met wonderful people who made my time there even more memorable. Unfortunately, it was the last time I was there. I promised myself that next summer I'd spend definitely in Malta. If you hesitate where to go for holidays I encourage you to join me :D

This is my favourite place there, called Dingli Cliffs:

I could sit there the whole day, looking at the sea and thinking how beautiful this place is.. :)

If you do not believe me, just have a look at this video:

And here are some of my photos:

I have to buy myself such panties :D :

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS IS YOU

Well, I don't usually do it. I don't listen to Christmas songs in November! But today I somehow couldn't help it :) Probably, because of snow outside the window, I've found myself in a Xmas mood and listened to my favourite Xmas song, from my favourite Xmas album of my favourite singer - Mariah Carey:

IT IS SNOWING!

I woke up, look through the window and saw how much snow is out there! too much! I can imagine how cold it is outside :P And I feel like staying in my warm bed :)

SLUPIA THE GREAT :D

Since we are supposed to write about our home town, here I go.
Slupia Wielka is a small village where everybody knows everybody. That is what I hate about this place. People there seem to be interested in everything which should not concern them. I remember myself being "young and stupid", doing things my parents shouldn't know about :) And somehow, they always knew what/when/with whom (!) I was doing :) However, now, when I spend most of the time in Poznan, I miss this village. I like spending time there, especially in spring time. There's a big park, where people go for a walk, children play, men drink beer, "grandmas" gossip :)
I like sitting on the bench there, talking about everything with my best friend, breathing fresh air :) Here is what a part of the park looks like:

Ah! almost forgot! This is how I used to commute to high school in Sroda Wlkp. :

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

Here I am. Finally.
I believe in the famous proverb which says: The last will be the first.. :)

to be continued...
